Modern Age Books, New York, 1942. Beautiful front of dust jacket is not price clipped. Dust jacket shows chipping wear and some loss at spine (as shown) but difficult to find in any dust jacket. Thompson switched from literature to noir pulp because it paid better. His talent soared in noir as well but
