Frank Carey, depicted here in his Hurricane of No. 43 Squadron, was one of Britain's top Aces of the war. He scored over 20 confirmed victories as well as several shared or probable claims these were in Europe during the Battle of France and Battle of Britain, but also later in the war in the east against the Japanese during their invasion of Burma. He was awarded a CBE in addition to his
